Halloween this year was fun. I'm sad that we didn't carve any pumpkins this year. The ones I was growing were still green and way too small to be carved. And then we didn't even go to the store to get some although we did go by shops earlier in the week that had them.
Our house was a huge hit. That was mainly because of Zak and his friend Nate. For the past couple years, Zak has sat patiently and waited to scare kids. The first year he sat by the garage and our walkway in a camping chair; the next year in a chair on the porch by a stuffed zombie; and this year he was in a cardboard coffin with Nate sitting by the stuffed zombie. Everybody would notice Nate sitting in the chair and so would have their undivided attention on him, then Zak would make his move. It would scare the older kids senseless. They were nice to younger kids of course. They would either say, "Happy Halloween," or point at the door.
Our decorations were pretty much the same thing this year. We had one new addition to the Halloween family though: Pirate Pete. We put him in front of a tombstone with other bones and stuff around him. Marcus was still there in front of a different tombstone, and all the other stuff was the same. I tried to get a good picture of everything, but my camera was acting up.
For our costumes, Dad was a golfer at work because he didn't want to be Elvis or Frankenstein's monster. Mom wasn't feeling too well, so she didn't dress up or answer doors. You all have seen my costume. I decided to be a vampire instead of a kitty. Zak wore the same costume as last year, except he added bone gloves and fading red eyes. Parker actually decided to dress in the pirate costume I made for Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. We put mascara on his whiskers and eyes. He ended up looking a lot like Will. :D
