Mama's Holiday Wishlist Meme

Aunt Jenni actually posted this and then tagged anyone who wanted to try and enter it for themselves. I figured what the heck. I like the prizes they're giving away. We know how crafty I am so it seems perfect.

TodaysMama and Provo Craft are giving away a sleighful of gifts this holiday season and to enter I’m sharing this meme with you.

1. What 5 items are on your holiday wish list this year?
A laptop (if possible) and some movies. I always like movies.
2. What is your favorite handmade gift you have received?
My Granni has made me a couple of things I love. One is a jewelery hanger in the shape of a doll made out of wood and hand painted. The other is also made out of wood in the shape of a cat and hand painted. They still hang on the walls in my room.
3. What handmade gift have you always wanted to tackle?
Maybe learning how to make knitted amigurumi.
4. What was the best Christmas gift you received as a child?
I don't have just one gift. I have a year. The whole family decided to get me a bunch of crafting/drawing supplies.
5. What items are on your kid’s wish list this year?
Does my nephew and niece count? I'll probably be making them something.
6. What is your favorite holiday food?
The deep-fried turkey for sure. ;)
7. What will you be hand-crafting for the holidays?
Everything. Being a poor college student just implies that.
8. What is your favorite holiday movie?
Nightmare Before Christmas, A Christmas Story, or National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.
9. Favorite holiday song?
I like lots of the Christmas songs. I usually like Silent Night and Carol of the Bells though.
10. Favorite holiday pastime?
I like helping prepare Christmas dinner.

I was tagged by both Amber and Jenni to do an image tag. Basically you pick a picture from the first page of an search engine of your answer to one of the following questions and then post it. And since the only people who ever read my blog that have blogs already did this, I don't have anyone to tag. Except for maybe Greg. I would like to see him do this. ;D

My Favorite Vacation: Nassau, Bahamas. This was hands down the best vacation that I've ever been on.


My Favorite Color: Yeah, purple. I also love that this image happens to be a purple rose. So pretty. =D


My Current Age: I'm not a fan of this show, but this image was the best on the first page.


My Favorite Treat: Pocky. But not just any Pocky. Almond Crush Pocky. If you've never had this kind of Pocky, you are missing out.


My Favorite Food: You better believe it. Sushi. It's all my favorites rolled into one harmonious treat.


The Place I Want to Travel to Most: Tokyo, Japan. I don't care how long it takes me, but I'm going to go there someday. Especially to Shibuya square. There's so much color, culture, and life in one little area.


The Place I Grew Up: Utah and Missouri are the states that I lived the longest when I was little. I thought it would be appropriate to do that.


The Place I Live Now: Washington. However, when I just put in "Washington" into Google, I got stuff for D.C. as well. So I typed in Seattle and got this image.


My Last Name: Well, it was either a past president or some other scary characters.


My Middle Name: There were some interesting Annes, but I like her best.


My First Name: Okay, I like her in Transformers but I don't like her personal life. I had to break the 'first page' rule in order to get a non-slutty picture.


Something I Used to Love: Oh yeah, baby. Do you remember this show? I used to LOVE watching this show. It was called Legends of the Hidden Temple. It was on Nickelodeon for only a couple years, but it was sure fun to watch. Lately I've been having this urge to watch it, but I can't. =(


My Favorite Animal: Alright. I hope you all are happy with this photo that I found. I love cats, but I really like this breed of cat. I'm not even sure what breed of cat this is. All I know is that this breed has the letter 'b' within it. I saw it in a pet shop long ago and I've loved it since then. I had to type in something like "blue eyes cat" to get this picture.

Christmas Tag by Jenni

Well, I was tagged by Aunt Jenni Elyse (Who else? xD ). But this time it's all Christmas-y! Yay for Christmas!

1. Wrapping paper or gift bag? Wrapping paper of course! It's just so colorful and perdy. =D
   
2. Real tree or artificial? We have a fake tree. It looks real and you don't have to pick up the mess. (And I'm not allergic to it. >.>)
3. When do you put up your tree? When my parents bought it. I think a week after Thanksgiving?
   
4. When do you take down your tree? I think it'll be New Year's Day.
   
5. Do you like egg nog? I dunno. I've never tried it.
6. Favorite gift received as a child? Hmm, I'm not sure. I got so many things that I liked over the years.
   
7. Do you have a nativity scene? Mom and Dad have a blow-up one in the front yard. They would have one in the house, but ma isn't sure where to put it. (And it's old and falling apart.)
   
8. Hardest person to buy for? Dad. Especially this year because he keeps saying he doesn't like the K.C. Chiefs or Royals. = o
9. Easiest person to buy for? Mom. I can either make her something or get some kitchen stuff. =P
   
10. Worst Christmas gift you’ve ever received? I don’t know. Oh, wait. One time the whole family received these odd candles from my Aunt Annette. I still have mine. xD

12. Favorite Christmas movie? Does The Nightmare Before Christmas count? Kidding. Either National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, A Christmas Story, or Polar Express.
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? November/December. But this year I've made most of my presents for people.

Alright. I was tagged by Jenni again, but this time I supposed to say six interesting things about me. Here goes:

1. Most people don't know this about me but I'm claustrophobic around a whole bunch of people I don't know. Yes, I know it's weird but it's something I found out about myself in 10th grade. Oh, and it doesn't matter if the space is small or huge; it's the amount of people crammed around me.
2. I hate Mac N' Cheese, cereal, whip cream, and delivery pizza (except from Chicago Connection). I just hate their textures. If they don't pass that test then I won't ever like it.
3. I actually have this semi-passion for singing. I don't think that I'm good at it so I'll never do anything with it; even if my family says I'm good.
4. I hate the way I draw. It feels like to me that it's bipolar. Some days I love it and other days I'll hate it. I just want to find me in my drawing style. I want it to be original. I'm sick of being disappointed.
5. I love snow. I would take any cold day over a hot, muggy day. I love to play in it for hours and it makes me happy when there is snowfall. =D
6. Here's another one I don't think anyone knew: I like to design/make clothes. (Thanks to Project Runway.) I know I haven't made many outfits but I find it interesting. The whole concept stage, then the construction period, and then seeing it all done. I would like to make my own clothes all the time but I don't have the time or fabric right now.
