Old Friends

I thought I would post since I haven’t posted in a while. This is mostly because I actually have some things to talk about. *Gasp*

Just this past Sunday my family and I were visited by some friends that we hadn’t seen for since we moved from Missouri; and that was two years ago. So needless to say, we were all excited to have them come by. I was particularly excited to have the Monizs come by so my parents wouldn’t nag me. (I won’t go any further but I’ll just say that I’m just sick of the “comments” I’m getting from them.)

On Sunday the Monizs were able to come to church, or at least sacrament meeting since we left early, because our ward doesn’t start until three o’clock. Oi does it stink. Anyway, we–meaning Madi and I–were pretty bored because mom and dad have a rule that we can’t play video games on Sunday. However, once we finished dinner we all decided it would be fun to play a good long game of Apples to Apples. I swear it was all worth to play it because it was funny just to hear my father whine. Dad complained on some of the choices of cards when we didn’t choose him. Eventually he gathered a good amount of green apple cards, but not enough to beat me. Yup, I won. Hee hee.

On Monday we decided we wanted to go to the local water park known as Roaring Springs. I had never gone to Roaring Springs before, but I had seen it when we drove by it on the highway. For all I knew it was small and not that interesting. I was still used to going to the water park in Six Flags that was bigger and more crowded. We didn’t got to the park until four o’clock since we had a hard time getting Bro. Mo and my dad to come along. They were both tired after playing golf earlier that day. I was pleasantly surprised when we finally got there. There was the normal lazy river, wave pool, and slides. It was really nice that the lines weren’t all that long because we went so late. We stayed there until eight o’clock, when it closed. Funny thing is that as soon as we got back my brother, Madi, Sis. Mo, and I all decided to go to one of the subdivision pools. (The water park didn’t have just a normal pool.) We stayed there until it was 9:30 because it was going to close at ten.

Early Tuesday they had to leave for Ashley and Jeremy’s graduation down at Provo. I’m glad that we were able to spend time together. They finally got to see where we lived and how small the town we live in is.
