The Inheritance Trilogy

I have to admit that I haven’t know about The Inheritance Trilogy for a long time. When I saw the teaser trailer for Eragon, the movie, I thought it looked pretty cool. At the time I had no idea that it was a book, that is until I went to Target. I found a copy with the movie poster on the front. I thought to myself, ‘It seems like an interesting movie, maybe it’s an interesting book.’ Thankfully my instincts were right.

When I first read the book, I was hooked. I had hoped to have read the whole book before seeing the movie. But alas, I only got half way through. When my family, Zak’s friend Tim, and I saw the movie I thought it was great. It was missing quite a bit from what I’ve already read and thought that’s what usually happens with book to movie. Then Tim spoke. I have to admit that I was kind of enraged by all of the missing detail. I continued to read and saw that it was true. I wasn’t happy.

I finally finished Eragon when I got to school. I then figured out that there were supposed to be two other books. I searched and found Eldest. I was immediately hooked onto it. I read it during my Biology class most of the time since we were talking about genetics, ninth grade stuff really. I ended up getting one of my roommates hooked to the trilogy about this time. I’m so bad. (HA.)

Eldest answered so many questions from the first book, and left me kind of satisfied. It did leave a lot of questions unanswered again. I just wanted to know what was going to happen between Eragon and Murtagh’s relationship at the end of the trilogy. I was relieved that Eragon and Roran fixed their relationship. Come to think of it, Eldest involved Eragon with a lot of different relationships with different people. One relationship made me wonder why he would try to pursue it.

Now I really want the third installment to come out. All I know is that the new dragon will be green, and nothing about if it’s good or bad. I hope that it’s good so that Saphira will have someone to mate with that she likes.
