Before Mom, Dad, and the boys left to go back to Seattle today, we wanted to do something yesterday. I was ridiculously tired from the weekend fun at Lagoon and moving in. The original plans were to go to the bookstore and then pick up more hangers for my clothes. We did all of that and then to get some hot dogs at J. Dawg's. We then decided that we wanted to do something else and Mom mentioned a movie.
We saw G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. I have mixed feelings about this movie. Sure, it's a lot of fun to watch but there's no relevancy to the cartoons. They made new romantic relationships between characters that didn't have relationships before. Then the story between Snake Eyes and Shadow was totally different. I don't understand why they had to change all of that. Oh! And you don't see Commander Cobra until the end. It feels like they had to toss him in there at the end because of the title. Oi. I wish they used the Cartoon Network/Adult Swim storyline of G.I. Joe that aired not too long ago. The story was better and the characters were like in the original cartoon. Grant it, it's a little bloodier than the old one but it's better than the movie. Here's the first part of that special:
