Art in the Park

On Sept. 8th (last Saturday) my mom decided that we should go do something instead of sitting in the house all day. I wasn't objecting at all. I had been sick of sitting in the house for some time. She was talking about this thing called Art in the Park. It's basically a giant art gathering where people can sell their art and other people can look at it. I'm not sure how long Boise has been holding it, but it seemed really popular.

So the first tent that we stopped at was a hat tent. Parker for some reason wanted to go there. He really likes those hats that have the rim all around the head. I'm not sure why though; they make his head look bigger than it already is. While he was looking around, I found the most ridiculous hat. It was a fish. No joke, a fish. I convinced Parker to put it on so I could take a picture. It ended up so funny.I'm not sure if my parents were planning on buying anything while we were there. Mom really liked going for the brightly colored tents and dad liked going for the tents that had bald eagle photos. However, they didn't buy anything at those tents. I think the tent that caught our attention the most was this one with animals made out of scrap metal. Earlier that day I had said to Dad that maybe we could find an armadillo for Granni and Granddad. Just our luck, we found an armadillo made completely out of metal. Dad called Granni and she said that she would like them to get it for her and Granddad. So my parents bought Dillo-yes I named him Dillo-and we brought him to them when we had to go to Greg's dad's funeral. They loved him. I wish I took a picture of him, but I do have the website. Here's the link: http://www.yardbirds.info/
